What is your business worth — and what could it be worth?
Most owners know their revenue. Few know their number. Set your revenue and owner earnings below, mark the risks that apply to your business, and see the dollar gap between selling as-is and selling with those risks addressed.

The four value risks
Each risk present costs half a turn of the multiple — buyers discount what they cannot verify, or cannot run without you.

How this estimate works
Businesses in the $1M–$10M revenue range typically sell for a multiple of owner earnings (often called seller's discretionary earnings). A clean, transferable business — one that runs without the owner, with diversified customers, lender-ready financials, and documented operations — supports a multiple around 4.5× in this model.
Each of the four risks above reduces that multiple by 0.5×, because each one either shrinks the pool of buyers, invites a lower offer, or gives a lender a reason to say no. The gap between the two figures is what addressing those risks — and planning the tax side of the exit — is worth.
